Every vendor bill, fuel transaction, service cost, insurance payment, and contract expense is tagged to the vehicle analytic account automatically — giving Finance a complete cost picture per asset without any manual reconciliation.
For vehicles that generate income — delivery trucks, hired-out equipment, or transport contracts — customer invoices and delivery receipts are linked to the same analytic account. Fleet managers and Finance analysts can view the profit and loss per vehicle over any selected period and immediately identify the highest-cost assets driving operating budget overruns.

How It Works in Odoo 19
Tag Every Cost
Vendor bills for repairs, parts, and services are posted with the vehicle analytic account. Fuel logs and service records auto-post costs to the vehicle account. Insurance and contract payments are scheduled and linked on creation — no manual tagging required.
Track Vehicle Income
For income-generating vehicles, customer invoices from deliveries, rentals, or transport contracts are tagged to the vehicle analytic account. This creates a complete revenue picture per vehicle alongside the full cost data.
View P&L Per Vehicle
Finance analysts access the analytic account report filtered by vehicle to see total costs, total income, and net profit or loss over any period. The report is drillable to individual transaction level. Compare any two vehicles or vehicle categories side-by-side.
Identify High-Cost Assets
An executive fleet dashboard highlights vehicles with the highest cost-per-kilometre, lowest margin, or highest maintenance spend in the selected period. This data drives fleet renewal, disposal, and reallocation decisions backed by hard numbers.
